Bosa's distinct style focuses on capturing diverse textures and tones to beautifully represent African people and landscapes. His work has earned widespread critical acclaim. In 2020, he won the FAB Prize Mo Siewcharran Publisher’s Prize for Illustration. He followed this success with multiple Gold Pendoring Awards for best-designed picture books, including The Girl With 21 Questions and Wonderfully Made. His international recognition includes the Moonbeam Children's Book Award and the Independent Press Award for Zion Learns To See.

Beyond his contributions to celebrated picture books like Miyayu, Bosa made his graphic novel debut with the release of Nafu Wants Food. 

Based in Cape Town, he also hosts community comic art workshops with the Otto Foundation, empowering young children to explore their own creative voices through storytelling.
